Dear authors!
Submission of all materials is carried out only electronically through Online Submission System in personal account.

Vladikavkaz Mathematical Journal (VMJ) is now open for the online submission. All authors are highly recommended to submit their manuscripts only via journal’s online submission system. 

This section describes stepwise instruction, the most popular errors and frequently asked questions while working with the online submission system. During the time this section will be updated with new cases.

To sign in the Vladikavkaz Mathematical Journal online submission system and register a personal profile, one has to follow the link. After clicking the “Register” button, one should fill in all the required fields. Please note that in the “Initials in English” you should write first letter(s) of your first (given) name (or names).

Please pay attention that one personal account can be registered only per email address. It is highly appreciated to mention the ORCID, Scopus ID, Web of Science Researcher ID and other identifiers. They serve for unambiguous identification of author and his publications and help to avoid the appearance of several profiles of one author. 

Please, enter your current contact information to simplify communication with the editorial managers and don’t forget to update this information as it changes.

We also recommend adding profile photo. Permitted photo formats are: .jpg, .png, .gif. The size of the uploaded photo should not exceed 3 Mb.

In order to change your personal data, one should go to the “Personal profile” page and click the “Edit profile” button at the bottom of the page. The profile editing form will be opened. Make the necessary changes and click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page. Please make sure that the edited information is correct.

In order to submit a new manuscript, first it’s necessary to log in into the personal profile and press the menu item “Submit manuscript” or “My submissions” and then “Submit manuscript” button at the bottom of the page. 

Our online submission system guides you stepwise through the process of submitting your manuscript and uploading all the necessary supplementary materials. Items marked with “*” are required. Keywords can consist of more than three items and should be separated by commas. 

It is necessary to provide both the tex- and pdf-file of the manuscript and all supplementary files. More details with the requirements for the manuscript formatting  can be found at the following link: “Rules for authors”. Allowed formats of the additional files (pictures, expert opinion, cover letter, etc.): .doc, .tex, .pdf, .png, .jpeg, .eps. The size of the submission should not exceed 20 Mb. Please ensure you’ve provided all relevant editable source files. Failing to submit these source files might cause unnecessary delays in the review and production process. You may also include a brief cover letter in which you may provide us with some details and comments on your paper that are important in your opinion.

You are highly recommended to use LaTeX publishing software while preparing the manuscript. The example file can be found here: Example of .tex file. Please pay attention, that the manuscripts prepared with the use of other than LaTeX software will not be considered.

If the manuscript has more than one author then the corresponding author (the one who is submitting the manuscript) has to specify the co-authors: if they are not registered in the VMJ system independently, the corresponding author has to register them by pressing “My co-authors” link and clicking the “Add co-author” button at the bottom of the page. Here the journal online submission system guides one stepwise through the process of entering the co-author(s).

After completing these steps, one should start entering the name of the co-author in the text field next to “Co-authors” and should select one of the proposed items. Click the “Add” button next to the text field to add the selected co-author to the list. 

After all the fields are filled in, one must click “Save changes” or “Save and submit” button at the bottom of the page. 

After clicking the “Save changes” button, the manuscript will be saved in a draft mode and will not be visible to Editorial managers. To continue editing the submission, press menu item “My submissions”, select the submission to edit from the list. By clicking on the corresponding submission you will go to the submission page. Make the necessary corrections and click the “Save changes” button at the bottom of the page. 

To submit the manuscript to the journal one has to press the “Save and submit” button on the manuscript submitting page. After clicking the “Save and submit” button, the submission cannot be edited any more. 

One can also check the status of the submission, control all the stages of reviewing process or find out when the accepted article will be published, using the “status” indicator of the appropriate submission in the menu item “My submissions”.
